Didn't sound like you have very good friends either if you were always worried about trouble and someone having or not having your back. Also, if those concerns exists, then these clubs don't sound very 'cool.' I guess this is just a good example of us not getting along.

No. It sounds like I might of witnessed other cliques friends bailing on them in a scuffle.
Being around long enough, you realize that's a thing to be concerned with when considering new people to join your group. And the older you get, the more friends move away, get married, etc.
