The 2000 Ravens were probably the best rush defense in NFL history.

That was a great era for running backs, and Baltimore allowed fewer than 1,000 yards all year (and 5 TDs), more than 400 yards fewer than the next best, and roughly half league average. Four teams in their division finished in the top 10 in rushing offense - they played each of those teams twice and held them to an average of 44 yards rushing. The Bengals were the #2 rushing offense in the league and they held them to under 50 yards combined in two games. They played the #1 rushing offense in the league (Oakland) in the AFCCG and held them to 24 yards.

They went 5 or 6 games without scoring a single offensive td and still went 12-4 in the regular season.
