The LSU Spring Game has become one of the Tigers' biggest recruiting weekends and it is lining up to be much of the same this year. Prospects from around the country are planning to make the trip to Baton Rouge on April 16, including Texas safety Grant Delpit, who is one of LSU's top priorities in the class. Delpit will be making that trip with his Team Texas Elite 7-on-7 team for a tournament in New Orleans.

While that trip will certainly work in LSU's favor, the weekend prior to the spring game may end up being more valuable to the Tigers in regards to landing the sought after safety. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound New Orleans native is expected to visit LSU the weekend before the spring game with his entire family, which includes his grandparents, as the Tigers look to extend its lead, according to a source. The two parties have grown fond of each other, with LSU linebacker coach Bradley Dale Peveto and defensive backs coach Corey Raymond leading the charge.
