Having said that, Manning "produced" more but Brees was the more important FA signing.
My only argument is I cant with a straight face say the Brees signing is greater when the results the Broncos had after Peytons signing is far superior.
I will say that Drew def means more to the franchise though. Without Drew we are still nobodies. Without Peyton the Broncos are still Elway and a two time super winning city

Broncos went to the playoffs w/ Tim Tebow as QB.
Nothing about this Super Bowl team had anything to do with Peyton's play on the field. In fact, you could argue it benefited that he sat almost half of the season to realize his new role as "game manager"
The sole reason that Peyton played no part in the success of this Bronco's team means he wasn't as big as a free agent signing as Brees. Simple as that
