And let's be honest. A lot of the all-time greats weren't good defenders. Bird, for example, was a defensive liability, but he was surrounded by great defenders.

The problem is we only have one or two "great defenders" on the team. Jrue and Dante are solid defenders. Asik is above average, but still not great.

Ryno is bad. Davis is pretty bad as well. Davis needs to work on post offense and defense this summer.

You can surround one bad defender with 4 above average/great defenders and it won't hurt too much. You can't surround 3 or 4 bad defenders with 1 or 2 great defenders like we've been doing. Doesn't matter how good you are on offense when the other team can score at will.

Pretty much been the theme of our last 4 losses. When the offense is clicking we look fine and can compete with anyone. When it's not, we are either gonna lose the small lead we have or the deficit balloons. The SA game was a prime example of that. Only way we could have won was to stay hot on offense for the entire 4th quarter. Got out of rhythm for about 5 mins and it was all over.

Cavs game was the same way. As was the Laker game.
