I remember a few threads on here after the '07 BCS game when idiots were claiming LSU could have beaten NFL teams in the 70's-80's. The first reply was about the '85 Bears not allowing them to cross mid-field. Some goofball responded that the Bears didn't have anyone to cover Brandon LaFell and no one that could block Glenn Dorsey.

The difference in size and athleticism really has changed that much. I don't know if the 07 LSU team would be a good example. But I'd wager the 2001 Miami team would kill the 85 bears. Wouldn't even be close.
