My parents have a cabin in sevierville and we go often. Here's my suggestions:
Pigeon Forge-
Old mill pottery house cafe (before or after go around the corner to the little kitchen shop and try all their samples. Watch out for the soup nazi)
Harpoon Harry's
Gondolier (more of a locals place but the pizza is good)
The island
Alpine Coaster
Moonshine (sugarlands is the best)/wine/whiskey tasting
Gatlinburg-
Donut Friar (if you do nothing else, go here. Go first thing in the morning when the donuts are fresh)
Cherokee Grill
Skiing/snowboarding/tubing at ober
Aquarium
Drive through the mountains and stop for photo ops
