Rogen and Hader have previously appeared in a handful of projects together, including Pineapple Express, Knocked Up and Superbad, in which they played a pair of incompetent cops. Both also made uncredited cameos in 22 Jump Street and lent their voices to the upcoming R-rated animated comedy, Sausage Party. The Something, however, marks the first film project either have done with Galifianakis.

Id love a sequel to This is the end, but this sounds awesome too.

How would a sequel to "This is the End" even work? It ended with everyone dead in hell, stuck in hell on earth, or raptured to heaven. Would the sequal just be a series of choreographed Backstreet Boys dance numbers?

They talked about how they wanted to do it right after it came out
Basically the movie would open at the movies showing that the first movie was an actual movie in that universe and then shite actually hits the fan
Just adding another level of meta to it
