I wish there was a way I could pay more per gallon, screw me and my families prosperity, because the really important thing is F250 driving Operators and the bosses at Exxon. I love that your analysis of economics ref Exxon not spending as much ignores the very real effect of individuals having money in their pockets and spending that cash across the local economy.

Doesn't actually happen that way, and both the stock market and data prove that to be false.

Because they report their research, development, and acquisitions as costs.

They have reported profits. For 2015 AMZN reported almost $600 million in net profit.

ETA: And they've reported about $1.7 billion in net profit over the last 6 years.

I have seen a lot of small oil companies liquidating. One a few miles from me had an auction last month and now others are resorting to unloading on Craigslist

Maybe he means stockholder profit, i.e. dividends i.e. all profit re-invested back into company

As a person who is not familiar with the stock market would you recommend buying up a bunch of cheap Exxon stock as a long term investment?

If they are unloading tanks like that for only $3K, I doubt they have the money to fill them with oil. That appears to be a fire sale to raise some liquid capital.

They need to cut spending. Those big O&G industries are bloated like the federal government. Have you seen the inner workings of one of them? They're are so many useless non-working mofos over there. It reminds me of the DMV sometimes.

someone didn't get a call back from their instrument tech interview out at the Exxon BR plant....

Just have them boil them for you. It is the best crawfish around in my opinion. I get them at least once a week from him.
