What's the difference between racism and xenophobia in this particular context? "Swedes beat the shite out of refugees despite no evidence of wrong-doing." Were all the refugees from the same country? Or is it more likely it was a group of people that looked the same?

government gives advantages to one group

What advantages specifically?

xenophobia has meaning while racism has been stretched and contorted so much that is has no meaning anymore

i mean not to get technical but we don't even know how racially different the "others" are in this scenario

another reason why racism is such a weak term (generally)

if you say xenophobic, it covers this situation just perfectly without any qualifications necessary

What advantages specifically?

welfare, allowing them to break immigration rules yet to remain residing in the country, creating rules that allow these groups not to assimilate into the culture yet to benefit from that culture, "hate speech" laws and regulations that prevent people from discussing certain negative aspects of migration and the migrants' cultures, blaming citizen victims for crimes committed by migrants, removing objective data from governmental collection to prevent studying the behaviors of the migrants, etc
