and i'm all for a top-down reform of our entire criminal justice system. this is another example of government negatively affecting poor people disproportionately (and within that group, black people due to their increased representation in that group). this is one of the biggest areas of economic theft in our current society and it's straight up governmental theft

Sure. There are about 39 million blacks in the USA. 2.6 mil arrested for crimes.
You do the math. You can look up unemployment by race. You already know they use drugs at the same rate as whites.

No shite. But that still does not change the fact that the vast majority of black people are law abiding, non-violent, and work.
My point was to objectively dispel the narrative that most black are criminals in the USA and "almost all" black neighborhoods are cesspools
