Electric Razor Question

I have to shave everyday for work. Ive been contemplating going to an electric razor but I'm not sure they shave as close as traditional razors. I'm guessing that the more money you spend on it, the better they are. I'm just wondering if any of you use electric and if so, whats the best out there.

norelco is the best
get lithium battery version..cant believe they still NIMH or NICAD crap.
it will take you some time to get used to it so don't get pissed if the first few times you shave you feel like its not doing shite.
eta i dont think you need to spend $$$ on one; a $50ish on sale wet/dry will be fine and the heads swap for the fancy models with the LED screens & shite.
they do make some really fancy top end ones with more floaty heads but not worth it imo

Do they make one that you can use in the shower to minimize razor burn?

i think the one i have is wet/dry but i never use it that way. i'm always shaving in the car on the way to work (while texting & drinking coffee)
i splash a little cold water on my face in the office bathroom when i pee after i get to work.

the difference in price is reflected in the outcome.
the high end electric are good.
you will not get as good a shave.
just bring your kit to work. get there 4 minutes early and shave in the bathroom.

I've been using the same Braun for about 14 years now. All I ever change is the foil and cutters every six months.

I had the high end norelco for years, I changed over to a Harry's razor two years ago. It was the best thing ever!!

Go to Best Buy. Buy the most expensive Braun. Best razor out there. Tried a Norelco when my old braun of 10 years went out. It lasted 6 months. Braun or bust.

to be honest, I have never had an electric razor that would shave anywhere near as close as a regular razor...I used one for ten years and would have a shadow by the time I came back to the office from lunch...
I found that the damn thing just gave me razor burn so bad that I didn't want to use it any more...

Not quite, don't buy the 9 series, buy the 7 series and save yourself a bit more than $100. Nine series beats Seven on looks and quietness, but 7 is the closer shave (why, I don't know). Shave before you shower, primarily against or across the grain, and use a high quality pre-shave oil (King of Shaves Kinexium is the best I've found).
