Benjamin "the beast" Butler could replace Beauregard, Grant could replace Lee (facing south)- hell Landreiu might even call it winners circle, and Lincoln could replace Jeff Davis.
The Battle of Liberty Place Monument could just be demolished (although the history really is interesting for anyone who is interested clearly not Landrieu).
Because Landreiu doesn't give two shits about history, I wouldn't be surprised if any of the above came true.

THey all want to bitch about Robert E. Lee as a racist piece of shite, but here is his quote:
There are few, I believe, in this enlightened age, who will not acknowledge that slavery as an institution is a moral and political evil. It is idle to expatiate on its disadvantages. I think it is a greater evil to the white than to the colored race.
If they put Lincoln, will they put this direct quote from Abraham Lincoln's mouth on a plaque under his name:
I have no purpose to introduce political and social equality between the white and black races. There is physical difference between the two which, in my judgment, will probably forever forbid their living together upon the footing of perfect equality, and inasmuch as it becomes a necessity that there must be a difference, I, as well as Judge Douglas, am in favor of the race to which I belong having the superior position. Our republican system was meant for a homogeneous people. As long as blacks continue to live with the whites they constitute a threat to the national life. Family life may also collapse and the increase of mixed breed bastards may some day challenge the supremacy of the white man.
