General Aviation airport near Venice?

A buddy wants to fly his cesena down to fish on the coast this weekend. In Nola Lakefront the closest airport to land at?

They have a small strip that the pogey planes use but I'm not sure if the public can access it and I think its grass. It's in Port Sulphur.

He can try to land at the Naval Air Station, see what happens.

I know there is a little private grass field near Port Sulphur. Not sure he would like if you turned up on his field though.

Not any. There are a few private landing areas down there. But sea plane only.
