Pretty cool idea IMO. When does a Major League ballpark end up doing something like this?

The Double-A affiliate of the Rangers experienced a significant growth in attendance last season, thanks in part to Ballpark Digest naming them the home of the Best Ballpark Renovation, which included a video board and a new saloon. RoughRiders brass came in under budget on that project, so they're looking to combine the surplus with some private funding to turn the current outfield pool into a full-on lazy river, featuring eight-foot waterfalls large enough to display projected images and advertisements.

This ballpark with a lazy river might be the greatest thing to happen to summer since some genius dreamed up the idea to put hot dogs inside corn bread and put it on a stick.

Just go to a water park if you don't want to watch the game

I'm with you on this one if you can't see the game from the lazy river. If you can see a baseball game from your inner tube, hell yeah sign me up.

Bring a snorkel (unless you're R.Kelly)

Hit the $1 beer stand and send the kids to the lazy river. Everyone wins.

...but the $1 beer & the lazy river water color is the same.
They'd never know the difference ....genius!

if there was a way to make it, so the lazy river was behind, and above the announcers booth, and kind of angled so you could see, that wouldnt be bad on those shitty, hot, humid nights.
but if you cannot see, just go to the water park and listen on radio.

So they'll just replace the pool and grill that is currently there?

Wonder how much AMLI paid to have their logo in the rendering.

Huh? That's not a rendering, it's what's actually behind the park.

I was able to intern for them back in the summer of 2013. Awesome ballpark and consistently voted one of the best minor league ballparks every year.
