if you want your deer laying where you shoot them.. shoot ballistic tips. You may sacrafice a shoulder but who cares. The deer is dead, and there isnt much meat in a front shoulder anyway

I shot the Winchester Silver Ballistic Tips in my 300 WSM and didn't like them. Every deer I shot was DRT, but I never got an exit. They couldn't hold up at that velocity. I switched to TTSXs and they have been very impressive with huge exit holes.
