The same ref that stopped the fast break on shot clock violation is the same one that called the Phantom 4th foul on Simmons. LSU had the ball and control and on fast break when horn sounded for violation. I really think that one ref had a team he was pulling for

This is the same thing that happened in the Florida game a few weeks ago: One ref that was obviously making the vast majority of the blatant calls, many times completely out of position. It was so obvious to anyone with a brain.

I didn't watch yesterday because it has gotten so bad. I saw at one point of the game on the scoring update that LSU's starters had 13 fouls while Bama's starters had 4. (This was just the starters, not total team fouls. Refs that know what they are doing will go after your starters).

This is typical for the SEC though.

Both were horrible calls from court-side. The Tigers had the ball, headed up-court a full second before the shot-clock horn went off. On the 4th Simmons foul, Taylor(I think his name was) hooked his arm through Simmons' and then jerked it away; smart play by Taylor but one of the three refs should have seen if for what it was. At least two of the calls on Victor were phantom calls. Nice job by the Tigers and by JJ for choosing to go small and zone down the stretch. The move clearly confused the Tide players for some reason.
