Oh I remember it on a weekly basis.
But what can you do, other than laugh at yourself and learn from it.

You shouldn't feel bad about your pessimism back then. There were a lot of "experts" on CNBC saying the same pessimistic things you wrote. And even worse things for that matter.
Frankly, all of that pessimism was the basis for my prediction back then. It was an easy call to make....

I am technically not suppose to invest in our clients? Does that count for a roth as well? I would be opening up one through a service my work offers.

It's a possible violation of insider trading regulations if you buy stock in a client.
Ask your HR department.
ETA: It might also create a conflict of interest. If you have money tied up in a client's business, where would your loyalty be, to your employer or to the company you have a financial interest in?

I started a Roth yesterday. 48 months at 1.75%. Good or bad, it will return more % than my 401K did last year.

48 months at 1.75%.
A Roth isn't something you are locked in for a specific amount of time for a set return

Yea looking at that now.
Of course everything would jump up right before decide to get in.
Can I get the cliffs of the Vanguard thread, I am currently in the middle of a job offshore.
Vanguard is just a service provider?
