Texas is such a dumpster fire they may never recover, even with some decent recruits. Fowler would be wasting his shot at stardom at that Titanic in Austin!

Meh, let's not throw stones
2007
Toliver WR - ok production throughout 4 years and yes I know he has some poor QB play, but that's no excuse for a guy with his skill. UNDRAFTED
2008
Peterson DB - one of the best CBs and return man of the BCS era. I mean he got all the awards. Thorpe (best DB), Bednarik (best defensive player), unanimous All American, 1st team SEC etc. 1ST ROUND
2009
Shepard QB - never threw a pass and was rarely effective as a WR, UNDRAFTED
Randle WR - ok his 1st two years, but nothing special until breakout junior year, 2ND ROUND
Loston DB - injury prone, didn't do much until redshirt junior year, UNDRAFTED
Davenport DT - switched to OL, later transfered out
2011
Collins OL - great OT/OG. 2nd and 1st team All SEC
Johnson DT - great play as backup, meh as starter, left early with one year of starting production, UNDRAFTED
Landry WR - special teams early, drop problem but decent sophomore, breakout player as junior, 2ND ROUND
So for LSU you have nine 5 stars.
1 went 1st round (but I believe Collins would have made 2)
2 went 2nd round but neither were 1st team All SEC and neither were great until their junior year (Jarvis Landry being elite)
4 went undrafted
1 transfered
1 aforementioned Collins was railroaded out of the draft
This wasn't done to rag on LSU, but using his criteria, LSU wasn't much better. IMO, all of it is a crap shoot. There are any number of reasons why a guy didn't pan out. Whether it be his actions, the coaches lack of coaching, the wrong system, incredible depth, or some combination of all of these.

Yea... it's more of a failure in the rankings systems

Leonard Fournette
Jamal Adams
Malachi Dupre
All will finish with solid LSU careers and high draft status.
