Mussellman had a big influence on the defense last season. He was constantly involved on the defensive end and It was LSU's best defense under Jones. He, however was never long for being an Asst coach regardless of his level of involvement last season. LSU was a stepping stone for him to get anothe HC gig. Everyone knew that going in.

Jones "hired" John Trealor to be his bench coach this season. Trealor was a very big part of LSU's 2006 final four run. Unfortunately, he bailed in July and really put Jones in a bind.

I'm not a Jones fan, but he did the best he could when Trealor left him high and dry this summer

I thought the first part of the game was telling. Tam's first 12 points came on layups and dunks most not contested. Victor's foul trouble just killed the Tiger's chances..he may have played 15 minutes. I'm no coach, but I'm thinking let Epps play and take your chances. Obviously the two very tall guys are struggling.

You're right... & I was disappointed Trealor left.
