But you laughed at another poster in another thread that had the opinion that Ben Simmons was not the best college basketball player of 2016. Draft potential and future prospects are one thing, but many were expecting a Naismith Award winner.

Even without a jump shot he's still the best player in the country

Let's not discount all the other things he does really well

He is putting up significantly better numbers than Buddy Hield, but people love jump shooters. It is what it is.

ETA: And Oklahoma is incredibly good, which helps tremendously with regards to the award.
