Wait, so when you want to do a pot roast in this thing, you really can brown the mean right in the thing and then add stock and let it go? The whole point of slow cooking is that I'm being lazy and don't want to have a lot to wash. Browning the meat and onions only to transfer them into the slow cooker just burns my arse.
