they usually put that in writing...did he not do that?...
fwiw, if your wife is ok with the ones that are installed, I would personally call it good and move on...no point in stressing yourself out when you don't have to.

This, but if the cost of what was installed was cheaper than what you paid for, you should receive the difference back.
