Not only was Magic the greatest PG he literally created ShowTime & was the coach on the floor...


Pat Riley coached nearly 20 seasons after leaving the Lakers & never came close to that " Showtime" pace . In fact Riley was the exact opposite as a coach with his very ,very slow half court Pound inside offenses( Football team in NY).

Riley coached ( Non Magic teams) were always among the slowest paced teams in the League.

Despite having young studs in Miami who were young & capable of running & pushing the ball:

Tim Hardway

Mashburn

Mourning

Eddie Jones,etc....

Despite having one of the yongest most athletic teams Pat Riley assured they were always among the 5 or 10 slowest paced teams in the League.
