I watched Ex Machina for the 5th time last night, so I was simultaneously excited and sad to see it on the list
I'd be shocked if Revenant tops it as best of 2015 (hateful eight wasn't as good)

Maciak sounds familiar.
I still have a good bit of films to catch up on from 2015. But the only one that comes close to Ex Machina at the moment is Mad Max.

ETA: I almost took this class or a similar one before I graduated. Really wish I would have.
I liked how Fruitvale built. You know what's coming at the end, so it just makes everything happen leading up to it feel heavy. You really feel the weight of what happened.
