its always possible, its been a few years since we have been in one. So its a risk. the thing is we didn't have much growth when we werent in one. You could argue (technically wrong) that we never left the last recession.
the thing is job growth appears to still be chugging along. In my industry, job growth is amazing. We have a shortage of workers, and salaries are growing 10%+ a year.
But anytime you see a major economic power like china having the problems they are having, it could cause problems for us. The thing is that china sells more to us than we do to them. So a recession there is going to be less problematic than say canada or mexico. Or even the problems we had in the EU.
