I don't think we'll see 6 for two reasons:

The bye is such an incredible competitive advantage it is too much IMO.

Also, how would the money work? Do the 3 and 4 seeds keep the home game revenue? ADs may rather the revenue over the bye.

For the record, I love the idea of on-site games.
