- Best 8 seeded 1-8
- Top 4 get home games on New Years Eve and New Years Day.
- Then the remaining 4 are seeded and play out just like the current system of 4 teams with 2 bowls as semi-finals and a championship.
The 4 home games at the top 4 teams' campus would be awesome for college football with the traditions and pageantry, would generate revenue for the schools, and would help fans with traveling budget for the other playoff games.

Having 6 teams with 2 byes is an outrageously dumb idea IMO.

So you make it through the SEC schedule, win the conference title, and then all you have to do is win an additional 3 games for the NC? Nah
