That extra game against the other divisional champiop...in the (conference) Championship helps.
And that's accounting for the fact that TCU's first 11 results were better than OSU's first 12.

8 teams is too many, in my opinion, but 6 teams is stupid. And this being an LSU site, after Alabama got a championship week bye? Tigers have seen first hand how much of an unfair advantage that is, I'd think they would be the last people advocating for more of that.
