Ok and if Payton stays Fletcher has to quit his job.

More like wishful thinking from the butthurt NOLA media.

his replacement list is even more laughable.
Mike Riley is his 2nd choice :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

That's all the confirmation that I need that Payton will be here next year.

quote:
1. Doug Marrone
Jacksonville Jaguars assistant head coach
Head coach at Syracuse University from 2009 to 2012 and the Buffalo Bills head coach from 2013 to 2014. New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator from 2006 to 2008.
Given his familiarity with Loomis and Drew Brees and his success as a NCAA- and for the most part NFL head coach, I think Marrone would be the No. 1 candidate in New Orleans should Payton leave.
2. Mike Riley
University of Nebraska head coach
I don't think Riley would be the No. 1 guy but he is extremely close to Loomis. After a disastrous stint as the San Diego Chargers head coach maybe Riley is ready to return to the NFL, especially working for a general manager he's got a great relationship with.
Riley was the Saints associate head coach in 2002 under Jim Haslett.
3. Jim Mora
UCLA head coach
While the Bruins were just 8-5 this season, Mora has done a great job reviving a program that was down and out when he arrived.
The former head coach of the Atlanta Falcons and the Seattle Seahawks, Mora was an NFL-lifer before getting the gig in Westwood. Mora got somewhat of a raw deal in Seattle. His father is former Saints and Colts head coach Jim Mora, co-host of our WDSU Saints on 6 productions, so I hear a lot about Jimmy. I know he loves UCLA and is very, very happy in southern California, but I still think the right NFL job could lure him back.
4. Sean McDermott
Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator
Took an extremely poor Panthers defense and converted them into one of the best units in the NFL. He has developed great talent on his side of the ball and the Panthers are of course the best teams in the NFC, which automatically makes him a hot commodity.
5. Jim Schwartz
Unemployed; former Detroit Lions head coach
While many people may frown reading Schwartz's name because he didn't have great success as the Lions head coach, you shouldn't. He's a solid defensive coach who did a great job in Buffalo as a coordinator in 2014. Just trying to connect the dots, Loomis seems to value guys who've been around and paid their dues and has no problems with second chances (just look at his hire for the Pelicans last year, Alvin Gentry).
6. Paul Guenther
Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator
This might be a bit of a reach but the Bengals feature one of the NFL's best defenses. Guenther has received high praise from Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis and former coordinator Mike Zimmer. It would be a risky, but potentially extremely rewarding hire.
Oh Fletch

I will pay to see interaction between Fletch and Payton in the future. Same reason Holder got bitch slapped yesterday.

Sharief reporting 3 first round picks is the asking price.

Didn't he turn down a job in Miami, he has a pretty cush job w/ the NFL right now.
And bc he did it one time in basketball automatically means he'll do it again?
How is Guenther the only one considered "risky"; especially w/ Riley & Mora as his 2nd & 3rd choices. Only ones worth a 2nd thought on that list would be McDermott & Guenther.
