there is a beautiful grey fox that dens in an abandoned culvert down the woods from my house. In ten years I've watched her raise pups at least three times. Gorgeous animal
unfortunately she found my chicken coop/yard and cleaned me out, twice. I stayed up nights stalking her and tried a trap, but no success. I've decided to wait her out and hope she moves on, I'm not going to shoot her (if I even could get a shot) unless I catch her in the coop

That's pretty neat. Sorry about your coop. There is a young red fox kit hanging around the house a bunch. My brother threw out stale crackers for the birds. Looked out there a few nights ago, he was sitting right in the middle of the crackers chowing down.
