Hardly anyone here questions the "philosophy", it's simply the fact that Les does not believe that a passing game compliments the running game, and he refuses to force the defense to respect the LSU passing game. Les wants to say, "Here we come, try and stop us." And 9 times a year other teams aren't talented enough to.

BINGO... Ya know the rant would be a much better place if more LSU fans would realize this..............

What? Miles has proven that he will air it out if he trusts his qb. Jruss, Flynn, combo of Jlee / JJ in 2011, and Mett were top 5 in the sec in pass attempts.
What you said just isn't true

he refuses? Miles refuses? do you respect our passing game?

the FACT is we don't have a passing game worthy of respect. we are a one dimensional football team. why? i'm gonna say the coaches only play a part and the players play the other part.

I do agree that Miles doesn't even practice the passing game early in the year against the cupcakes and our play calling is anything but qb friendly.

an analogy: my son was a pitcher is college. he needed a more effective change up. in the early games (against lesser opposition) our pitching coach only called fastballs and change ups. he HAD to learn to throw and trust his change. later in his career it was his money pitch.

les miles doesn't play that way just like he doesn't give his back up qb any meaningful reps. it has come back to haunt him. I hope he learned better and this year will tell.haviing cam on the sideline calling plays is step 1.

BS. We don't have a QB that executes well enough to do more. Now...that's on Miles...but to spout some junk about passing game complimenting whatever is just stupid. Not true.

As far as wanting to be simpler and out execute teams...hope you don't want Chip Kelly...cuz that IS his philosophy.
