Whats the law in Louisiana on someone over 18 riding in the cargo area of a SUV?

Idk but I doubt that you'll get pulled over because someone rode in the back of a suburban.

If they are on the cargo rack they have to be strapped down.

They could get a seatbelt ticket. I'd say the $25 fine is worth it. But your passenger would have to be a real dick to the cop to get written one.

Ive been pulled over a couple times in monroe for having too many people in my car coming back from a night out. i think mostly they just used it as an excuse to make sure i wasnt drunk because nothing ever came from it.
