We have two large dogs that are outside, and although we treat them for fleas pretty regularly, its a battle we still fight. Well the last couple of days, my wife has found some of them inside and she is freaking out (she tends to over react from time to time). What are some remedies that yall know of that actually work, before she burns the house down.

TIA

Vacuum the house twice a day for two weeks. I know that sounds absurd but it's necessary unless you want to bomb, and even then you may be SOL.

In the future, give them monthly oral flea medication like Trifexis, Comfortis, etc... My dogs are outside most of the time and have never had any issues with fleas so long as I keep up their meds.

ETA: Do you have a lot of carpet in your house? In my house we had fleas when we moved in but since we had hardwood, once we started vacuuming religiously they went away with the quickness.

I've read before that if you put horse apples (osage oranges) inside your house it'll help keep fleas out, but it may be an old wive's tale.

Buy a few bottles of Ultracide online and spray it all over the house. It will knock out any flea problem you have indoors.

Bengal flea spray works very well. Spray, leave the house for a few hours, then spray again next week.

Mixture of DemonWP and I.G. Regulator

You can get them at your local feed store or Tractor Supply Company.

These are both applied using a pump sprayer and can be used inside and outside effectively. If you spray inside just remove pets from area until it is dry. After it dries just wipe down kitchen counters with a damp rag and your back up and running in no time. It may take a couple of applications but this stuff will work.

Comfortis.

It turns the dogs into roving flea killers.

Bathe your dogs in dawn soap. Works incredibly.

Can't believe no one said Dawn dishwashing detergent.
Lather the dog up and it kills em on contact.
Mix in a garden sprayer and spray the grass, carport etc. spray every 4-5 days for a couple weeks. More if it rains.
Best thing is, it's cheap and works great!
I use the blue dawn.
