I see the argument. However, it's basically the same as saying the parents are to blame for letting a known trouble making kid roam the streets and point a very realistic looking gun at people.

If they want to claim he was too young to know what he was doing, then they are very much to blame for that, both from an ethical and in many states legal standpoint for the actions of their 12 yr old.



If they are willing to admit that their young man knew full well that he could scare people more effectively with his prop firearm by removing the orange identifier and pointing it at strangers, and consequently claim they did their best to prevent his idiotic behavior then they can say they have no blame for his actions with relative impunity.

No, it isn't. This is a supposedly professional organization making professional decisions. Did they do ANY due diligence on this POS? I've done lots of interviewing in my life and we would never hire someone with that poor of a reference from his former employer. Stop making excuses for these assholes. Stop defaulting to the cops.
