re: What's the prettiest bird you've seen in the wild and where were you?

Northern Royal Albatrosses (most majestic) and Yellow-Eyed Penguins (most striking) at Taiaroa Head on the Otago Peninsula in New Zealand. We were lucky that it was a windy day when we went so they albatrosses were flying a lot (they have weak chest muscles relative to their enormous size so they don't fly much when the wind is still).
