What do you do with the bands from birds?

Do you mount the bird with the band or do you stick the band on your lanyard?
I think I would go with mounting. At least for the first.

We were thinking about making a Christmas tree garland with ours... put them all on a rope and string them up like lites !

Lanyard. I mount a specimen bird, or a bird from a special hunt.

I guess I usually let them circle the blind 3 or 4 times and then fly off with the bird they rode in on.
