Also, I'm sure it's been discussed, but Tony Bennett's wife is from Baton Rouge. I know for a fact they were VERY interested in coming back while they were at Wazzu.

Now I'm not sure that's the case anymore. Maybe there's less competition and easier admission requirements, but UVA has a SICK new arena and plenty of $$

Tony Bennett is making 1.92 million dollars until the 2020-2021 season. If he left after this year, he would owe UVA 1.2 million dollars.

Basically, if you wanted to fire Jones and hire Bennett for next season, LSU would have to pay 2.4 million dollars (1.2 to Johnny Jones and 1.2 to UVA), in addition to a raise for Bennett which would probably be 2.5 million per year for 6 years. After what just happened with the Miles debacle, do you really think anyone will approve that?

No

Tony Bennett ain't leaving UVa any time soon. And we aren't on the list of schools he would leave for.

I keep mentioning Archie Miller on here, but it's because he's built a consistent winner in a decent league, has a good pedigree, and hasn't made the big jump yet so he's still attainable for us.

It's still early enough that he hasn't made Dayton into Gonzaga, Butler, or Witchita St.

But Clarence Caesar wouldn't have come to anymore alumni basketball games.
