I was later told I got my current job because I was the only one who wore a suit to the interview. True story.

I had a guy I was interviewing for a staff accountant position call me before the third interview with what would have been his co-workers and ask me what he should do.. where he currently worked was business casual, and the interview was on a Friday, when we were business casual. I said... business casual, no need to dress up and look out of place either here or there. Dude showed up in a suit. Didn't get the job. Can't follow directions, apparently.
