Yeah, Brown had some brain fart episodes and some years where they underachieved, but he inherited a turd of a program and turned it into something special. When LSU went to 10 straight NCAA tournaments, the only other two schools to do that during that stretch were Duke and North Carolina - impressive company.

Brown wasn't the best Xs and Os coach, but he brought the fire on the sidelines that pushed his team over the top many times. He was excellent at that. He's in the College Basketball Hall of Fame because he did a lot of good things.
