Exactly.

Miles is a wonderful recruiter and a good guy.

He has a brilliant agent and has maximized his position and earnings. He held LSU hostage and leveraged himself into the present-day huge buyout situation with the openings at Arkansas and Michigan. This makes him not the innocent or saint some wish to portray him as to me.

He has been given all the support necessary to take the program to the pinnacle of CFB and cannot do so because he cannot evolve. The most glaring evidence of this is his archaic and flawed belief in run-oriented offensive line play being the single-most important strategic element of the game.

He (& LSU) backed, squirmed, wiggled and lucked into the NC in 2007 as a two-loss team. That set of circumstances isn't happening again for any team.

He will not and cannot change his way of thinking or strategy. He has been too successful doing it his way and recent events have reinforced that he cannot be told anything by Alleva. He now answers to no one and is a stubborn, proud old man. To expect change from him is idiocy.

We will revisit this issue again next season after another year of losses to teams with less talent than LSU.

Very stupid statement, this! If we had the same system in 2007 that we have now, who would be the four teams in the playoffs? Not LSU, of course, because you said that "isn't happening again for any team."

In the next five years there WILL be a two loss team in the playoffs.
