I did the quotes online with my insurer so I could move her between the vehicles. When I put her on the oldest, it was a little cheaper than the others.

Having younger drivers hurts real bad on your insurance premiums. There is just no way around it. Like a previous poster mentioned there is more to consider when rating a young driver than the value of the car. The limit of liability will most certainly be the key factor since teen drivers are way more likely to cause a liability claim than your average driver.
Go talk to you agent and see what he thinks can be done to help lower it. When I worked at State Farm they had a program that was wonderful. Being in the independent world now there are a couple things you can do to help the rates also. If you don't trust that your agent is going to do the right thing then you need to find a new agent.
