Between 2001 and 2011 we won the west 5 times and played in BCS Bowls 5 times with 2 NC and 1 NC Game. That's elite.

Since 2011 we have never won the west or sniffed a BCS/NY6 Bowl Game.

This! LSU was at one point the top NCAA program in the nation during 2000s. The first to win two BCS titles. Miles was 5-1 in his first 6 bowl games at LSU, with a loss to Penn State on a sloppy field. A game LSU should have won. Among the 5 wins were blowouts of Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Georgia Tech and Texas A&M. People were saying give Miles a month to prepare and he will destroy his opponent. Les was 4-2 versus Alabama. LSU was top dog.

Then LSU hit the skids with Les Miles. That abortion of a BCS championship game seemed to be the point the program started a rapid slide. Miles is 1-3 in his last four bowl games. He is 0-5 against Bama, 1-3 vs. Miss and 2-2 vs Ark. His SEC record has declined each year, except the last. The program is an afterthought. It is headed to the Texas Bowl to play Texas Tech. Based on the last 4 bowl games Texas Tech is a serious threat to win this game. WOW how far have we fallen.

The good news is Les is a good coach. He needs to understand that major changes need to be made. His offense and QB development must change. He must develop an adequate passing attack to support the run. He must use his early games to develop that passing attack and QB. He must become less conservative and predictable. He must be able to adapt on the fly if his game plan isn't working. He must attack his opponents weakness rather than always trying to out-muscle opponents which works against inferior opponents but fails miserably against strong quality opponents. He must modernize his offense.

And this is what we are gonna get from now on as long as Miles continues to coach the way he has the last few years.....
