B) Sexton recognizes he has LSU absolutely bent over a barrel, and asks for an unreasonable amount of money after an already large deal was agreed upon. King and Alleva have very little choice but to decline after recognizing they've been had.

If Jimbo wants to come to LSU, Sexton doesn't do this. If Jimbo doesn't want to come here, there was no need for the negotiations. If Sexton blew Jimbo's wishes to be the LSU coach, Sexton would be fired.

That assumes Jimbo has a strong opinion either way. Is it not reasonable Jimbo would have come to LSU, but only for an amount of money that makes the upheaval of his very stable situation justifiable? I'm sure he trusts Sexton to communicate any changes.

Same goes for the raise. As I said earlier, he doesn't need a raise from FSU to try and get more from LSU. LSU is asking him to abandon a very stable situation for tougher competition. LSU needs him, he doesn't need LSU.

Your definition of "wants to come to LSU" is very narrow.

Jimbo may have wanted to come to LSU...for a price that significantly alters his income.
