Good lord please tell me you don't equate these as being the same and have anything to do with each other?
One is public money spent on a polarizing, pride instilling , self sufficient entity, enjoyed by a majority of LA residents and the other a public/political interest funded annoying display of LA politics, a national embarrassment enjoyed by none (or so I thought).
