frick Johnny. Let's hire a YMCA coach for a 100k a year.
LSU brass is simply not serious in hiring top notch coaches in basketball. If you want to win get out the checkbook and get serious. Johnny doesn't know anything about coaching. You get what you are willing to pay for. Johnny has had time. frick the excuses !!! Show me the results or GTFO the door !!!

Lsu brass did not get to make this hire. Collins Temple and the basketball alumni took this hire out of Joe Alleva's hands. Johnny was their boy, and they made sure that we hired him.
Alleva actually went out and got a real coach to be the "bench" coach, you know, the man really doing the coaching. But JJ wouldn't let take advice and that guy bolted leaving us with absolutely zero sideline coaching.
