well, if the committee thinks that Clemson is the best team right now, after 12 games, they would need to give UNC the benefit of the doubt if they beat them and also have the nation's longest winning streak.

The only thing they've really been consistent about is saying they are looking for the "four best teams based on total body of work". That seems to mean different things to different people at different times, but I don't think a win over the "best" team automatically qualifies them. It'll be interesting if UNC can pull it off.

I'd be fine with putting UNC in, but they should put Stanford in over Oklahoma as well if that's how they're going to handle this.
