Just thought the same thing. I'd like to hear if we have recruited him or stayed away because of his commitment to UGA plus Patterson/Franks.

It's a long shot, but we have to try. If Eason becomes interested in Florida, it could send Franks back as well. There will be some shuffling, depending on who gets hired and when.

I believe the same thing and I believe Jacob Eason is a little more polished right now than Frank's and has a better throwing motion

Wasn't Richt an Offensive Coordinator before HC..?

Just throwing out this but wouldn't it be awesome if Les hires Richt as Offensive Coordinator and Eason follows Richt to LSU..

Dream scenario but fun too be wishful.......

Eason was interested in LSU, at one point his dad said they weren't out of the running for his services

I think our best bet is for Eason to go to Florida and Franks to come here. But all that is a long shot as I don't think Cam Cameron will stay.

We will not get either one. That's the reality. We will have this great recruiting class with no quarterback because Miles went all in for 1 guy and he's not coming. As Booger says there is no functioning plan B.

Are y'all psycho? Why would Eason come here? Franks was coming because we had Cam.

Eason has several places he can play that makes successful QBs and none are LSU. Franks has been all Florida for a while before the Miles debacle.

I hope so. Alleva and the boys cast a massive shadow of doubt over Miles and his tenure at LSU.

The right OC hire could change everything.
Let's hope for that

I think we need to hire a great QB coach. Someone who can develop a serviceable quarterback is all we need. We don't HAVE to have the best QB recruit. I'll take serviceable at this point.

Really?

I think Les feels vindicated (and probably even thinks he has a mandate from the people).

Not a bad idea. The HBC said he wants to stay in coaching.
Why not here?

Patterson & Franks weren't the only plans. Obviously at one point Franks was 1b, he became 1a once the decision to let elder Patterson move on (to Old Miss).

The QB recruiting will probably have to wait till the OC is settled. Considering there's strong evidence that Cam told Franks weeks ago he either wasn't, or likely wasn't, coming back then we're in limbo. Me personally, I'm ok with making Frank OC (& RB coach) and finding a QB coach (and asst OC) and putting him directly under Frank.

Depending on who the next guy is we're not completely out of it for Franks. But the only other QB that UF has got is Kyle Trask, who doesn't even compare to Franks from what I know (he is a big sumbitch though) so Franks would be a very difficult re-pull.

Hopefully Cam hasn't quit on recruiting and there are names/options that have already been explored somewhat so we're not starting from scratch. I don't think Cam would go full "Nero directive" on us. Not with Les being a long time friend and all.

Oh, and as much as it galls me to say this, we should root for Bama to embarrass UF in the SECCG to blunt some of their momentum, especially where Shavar is concerned.

The frick? Harris, Jennings, Rettig and Randall were all highly rated successful high school quarterbacks. Development has been the issue.
