Like an impressionable child swayed by the media and outside pressures into doing the easy, politically expedient thing instead of the right thing.

What responsibility do the BOS and boosters have. Did they leak info? Don't they ultimately give Alleva direction?

5mins after game he's in press conference saying Les can stay. That right there, in my opinion, made it look worse than it could have been. If he just waited to have his annual "employee/direction of program" evaluation, it would have looked like a believable agenda. Because of this you know something else was going on and the media saw that too. Now, how do you sell sincerity of coaching tenure to possible recruits and assistant coaching candidates?

Yep Alleva, screwed the job at Duke when he left those horny field hockey kids hanging in the wind.... now he screwed the job here by his handling of this Les Miles wind hanging thing

If Les was staying all along, most would likely come out and say "he's still our coach but we've got to review some things after the season is over " . This lost the program some recruits already. The silence or lack of verbal support from the AD the last three weeks says that something was in the works but it fell through. Now the school took the PR hit and still didn't make a change. Should have just ripped the band aid off and made the change. If they didn't have a plan B in place then the admins are idiots. they would have taken a PR hit anyway if they made the change, but now look like morons and the program isn't any better off. Les is possibly a lame duck now.

My take on what happen..and I have no inside info.
- Bunch of money booster came to Alleva and said we can get Jimbo.
- Alleva says "OK" cause his job is to keep the money flowing.
- Money boosters and friends can't keep trap shut.
- It leaked to various sources and it was going to happen. Some approached Jimbo and made the deal...$30 million for 5 years. Jimbo was interested.
- As Saturday loomed closer, the leak is worse. Fans are ticked. Boosters are getting scared to be associated with the Miles deal.
- Miles gets word and figures he is done. Entire family at game. Fan are cheering for the Hat. Boosters and Admin has second thoughts.
- Boom. Jimbo says "No Thanks". Booster who wanted/needed a Jimbo type hire start to back off.
- Not enough money or boosters to continue, administration abandons ship, leaving the captain, Alleva.
- Alleva looks like the bad guy, but then again, he allowed this to happen. Guy has to lead and control the program, or GTFO.
Alleva is getting thrown under the bus, but he could have prevented this.

This situation and the Duke situation proves that Alleva is nothing but an incompetent puppet of an AD

Sounds more like a lot of the LSU fans on TigerDroppings to me.
