It occurred to me in another discussion that there likely will be very little money spent on Les Miles's buy out. It's spread out over 8 years. he will land another job that pays well and LSU won't owe much, if at all.

Well done, sirs.

i heard his buyout had to be paid even if he landed another job, just like muschamp gets money from uf and au. if true, that changes the calculus here for sure.

no matter what, lsu is crazy to get rid of les. guy is winning an average of 10 games a year in the toughest conference, that's won 7 of 11 national titles since he's been at lsu, sharing the division with saban. that idiot clown jumbo averages one more win per year, in the worst conference in the nation, and has been wholly dependent on fsu's two biggest rivals being down for the majority of his time at fsu. but he's been the name yammered about the most.

lsu will not win an average of 10 games per year over the next decade. won't even come close. because you're going to get a coach that is worse than you already have. guy has the #1 recruiting class coming and you want to fire him? and the hubris of you people thinking that class isn't going to dissolve now.

this is a bad, bad move. the only thing lsu is going to accomplish is that, once saban retires, bert is going to own the west.

maybe these rich boosters need to answer some questions from the regular fans. if they're pushing for this, they may be crippling your program.
